Searcy County is for Military Retirees!!

vet 1

Beginning in January 2018, Arkansas will eliminate tax on military retirement pay! Searcy County is a great place for military retirees! We have a sizeable and active veteran’s community and a beautiful outdoor, small town, and farm environment! Searcy County was founded in 1838 and since that time thousands of its residents have worn a military uniform serving during times of war and peace from the Civil War to today’s conflicts. The Veterans’ Wall of Honor at the Searcy County Courthouse in Marshall is inscribed with the names of hundreds of Searcy County veterans. Also located at the courthouse is the Searcy County Veterans’ Memorial recognizing locals who lost their lives during a time of war.
