The 13th Annual MHS Chocolate Roll Contest & Festival is 21 March at Marshall High School! Bakers compete to see who is the World Champion Chocolate Roll Baker! From 10 am till 1pm pay a small fee to sample and judge all the sweet entries! For a fee, participate in the Make & Take Workshop to learn how to bake chocolate rolls! 35th North Arkansas Ancestor Fair: To brag on your ancestors, or to lean who they were, go to the 35th North Arkansas Ancestor Fair June 5 & 6, 2025; Saturday from 9 to 3 at the Veterans Hall in Marshall. Family genealogists and historians, local historians, north central Arkansas county historians will be there to help researchers. Folks that want to share information are given a table and chairs to display information. WiFi is available. Friday, June 5, four speakers about local history and genealogy present at the Searcy County Library from 1 to 5 pm, followed by a Mixer-dinner to make early contacts, 5:30 to 8:30 at Los Locos.

Coming back to Marshall this July, Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) military medical mission! The IRT, in partnership with Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District, Inc., Delta Regional Authority, and various community partners is planned for the 16-25 July timeframe at the Marshall High School! Innovative Readiness Training (IRT) is a military training opportunity that provides hands on experience for service members to train in a joint environment to enhance military readiness, while building civil-military partnerships and providing key services in Searcy County. NO-COST dental, vision, sports physicals, medical, and behavioral health services are planned to be offered July 16th through July 25th! Anyone and everyone is welcome! 160 to 180 Army and Air Force Reserve personnel are coming to Marshall! Care is delivered by credentialed healthcare professionals and services are open to everyone in the community. No insurance or identification required! Free!
